County Outdoor Fire and Fireworks Prohibition Partially Lifted

The Outdoor Fire and Permissible Consumer Fireworks Prohibition enacted by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on May 21, 2026, for the unincorporated areas of the County, has been lifted effective 8:00 a.m. on September 9, 2026, except for elevations above 4,200 feet within the Hualapai Mountain Range, where the prohibition will remain in effect pursuant to A.R.S. Section 26-311 and Mohave County Ordinance 2013-04.

Stage 2 fire restrictions on lands managed by the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management and the Bureau of Land Management were lifted on July 20 and 22, 2026, respectively.

The Mohave County Division of Emergency Management issued a determination on August 24, 2026, that a state of fire emergency no longer existed in the County. This determination was issued after consultation with multiple fire districts, the State of Arizona, and the Bureau of Land Management, and after extensive monsoon precipitation substantially mitigated the wildland threat across much of the County. Due to continued fire concerns at higher elevations within the Hualapai Mountain Range, the prohibition will remain in effect at elevations above 4,200 feet within the Hualapai Mountain Range.
