Day After Election Update: Ballot Processing Continues

KINGMAN, Ariz. — The Mohave County Recorder's Office and Mohave County Elections Department thank the voters of Mohave County for participating in yesterday's election.

While unofficial election results were reported on Election Night, ballot processing continues in accordance with Arizona law. It is normal and expected for additional ballots to be verified, processed, and tabulated in the days following an election.

Ballots still being processed include approximately 7,400 early ballots returned on or before Election Day, ballots requiring signature verification or curing, and fewer than 400 provisional ballots, each of which must be individually researched to determine voter eligibility under Arizona law. Voters whose signatures require verification have until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, to contact the Recorder's Office to cure their ballot.

Every ballot is processed using established security procedures and bipartisan oversight to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with Arizona law. Election staff will continue working until every eligible ballot has been counted.

Current election results remain unofficial until all ballot processing is complete and the election is canvassed. The Mohave County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to canvass the election on Monday, August 3.
