Mohave County Seeks Letters of Interest to Preserve Historic General Store
Mohave County is seeking Letters of Interest from individuals, organizations, historical societies, and other qualified parties interested in acquiring, relocating, and repurposing the historic General Store building currently located adjacent to former Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church at Davis Camp Park in Bullhead City.
Originally located in Oatman, Arizona, the building was relocated to Bullhead City during the 1920s or 1930s, where it served as a post office and general store before being moved to its current location at Davis Camp.
Although a 2010 Historic Building Assessment determined the structure is not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places due to its relocation, it remains a significant part of Mohave County's history. The County hopes to identify a new steward who will preserve the building by giving it a new purpose.
The Request for Letters of Interest (RFI), site walk information, and related documents are available through the Mohave County Procurement Department's Procurement Portal.
