Tropical Moisture Saturday Update from the National Weather Service

The NWS is forecasting widespread moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds will move into the region this afternoon through Sunday. Strong winds will develop today through Monday. Heaviest rain rates and most frequent lightning expected this evening. Flash flooding will be possible where the heaviest rainfall occurs.
While confidence is increasing regarding widespread rainfall and gusty winds, uncertainty remains regarding the exact timing and locations of the heaviest precipitation as well as the coverage and intensity of thunderstorm activity.
Mohave County Emergency Management will continue monitoring conditions and coordinating with our local partners as the system approaches. Additional updates will be provided as warranted.
