Tropical Moisture Sunday Update from the National Weather Service

The NWS is reporting that the heaviest rainfall this morning occurred across portions of the southern Great Basin and Mohave County, with continuing showers across the remainder of the region as remnants of Rachel move northeastward.
An uptick in shower and isolated thunderstorm coverage expected this afternoon, with moderate to heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Flash flooding will be possible where the heaviest rainfall occurs, with ongoing flooding expected to be slow to recede with additional rainfall. Widespread gusty south-southwest winds continue areawide through early Monday.
Mohave County Emergency Management will continue monitoring conditions and coordinating with our local partners. Additional updates will be provided as warranted.
