Clean Elections Candidate Profile Instructions

Clean Elections Voter Education Guide

Now includes countywide and supervisor candidates!

Pursuant to HB 2376 (2025), the Clean Elections Voter Education Guide, which is mailed to every household with a registered voter prior to the Primary and General Elections, will now include countywide and board of supervisor candidates. County candidates eligible for inclusion in the Voter Education Guide are: Sheriff, Recorder, Treasurer, Superintendent, Attorney, Assessor, Supervisor, and Clerk of the Court (judge, justice of the peace, and constable are not eligible).

Candidate profiles are printed with the following criteria:

  • Headshot Photo – Bigger is better, high quality and large photo files are preferred as staff can edit them all to be consistent within the printed guide. Photos should be of a professional nature, with the candidate’s face being clearly visible so that voters recognize you. Photos printed in the guide will be in a black/white newsprint format, while profile photos appearing on our website will be the same coloration as they were submitted.
  • Candidate Statement – No more than 200 words, the limitation is in place to ensure we can include all applicable candidates in the printed guide. This is your formal opportunity to let voters know about your campaign priorities, what you aim to achieve if elected and how you plan to accomplish these goals. Microsoft Word is used as the official word count.
  • Biography – No more than 100 words. This is your formal opportunity to let voters know about you on a personal level. Examples include sharing where you grew up, awards, certifications, education & experience, hobbies, endorsements, and family life. Microsoft Word is used as the official word count.
  • Campaign Website URL
  • Additional Information – Such as social media links can also be provided. Note: these links will not appear in the printed version of the guide but they will be included on your online profile, which appears on our Find My Candidates page as well as our Voter Dashboard.

Instructions: Submissions MUST be received by March 30th.

  1. Setting up your profile can be accomplished here - https://www.azcleanelections.gov/run-foroffice/candidate-portal.
  2. To create a candidate profile, you will first have to create a new login. New login requests are submitted to Clean Elections staff and reviewed as soon as possible. The candidate’s name must appear in the “Candidate to manage” field. After this is done hit “Create Request”.
  3. Once approved users are permitted to log in and submit the candidate’s profile contents. Your photo may only be updated once you save your name and office sought.

  5. All submissions must be received by March 30th to be included in the printed Voter Education Guide. This is a hard deadline that cannot be adjusted due to printing and translation services.

Please note, judges, JPs, and constables are NOT printed in the guide. However, any candidate running in Arizona may submit a profile for display on the Clean Elections website.
