Tuberculosis Testing & Support

Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that affects the lungs and can spread through the air. Testing helps identify infection early and prevent the spread to others.

MCDPH offers TB testing and support services for individuals and families.

SERVICES AVAILABLE

• TB skin testing 
• Evaluation and follow-up for positive tests
• Case management and support for active TB cases
• Coordination with healthcare providers for treatment

WHO SHOULD GET TESTED

You may need TB testing if you:

• Have been exposed to someone with TB
• Need testing for work, school, or medical clearance

WHAT TO EXPECT

• TB skin tests require two visits:
• One visit to place the test
• One visit within 48–72 hours to have the test checked
• Additional evaluation may be needed if the test is positive
• Services are provided in a confidential setting

COST

TB Skin Test is currently $36. Please confirm the cost at the time of scheduling your appointment.
