NAU SELECT Program

Special Education Learning Experiences for Competency in Teaching (SELECT) is sponsored by the Arizona Department of Education and offered through the Institute for Human Development at Northern Arizona University. SELECT courses are recommended for teachers, administrators, related-service personnel, paraeducators, and other interested individuals.

This program offers free access to graduate-level classes in the broad subject area of Special
Education. Many educational professionals take our courses and use the professional growth
certificates for salary advancement in their school districts and/or for recertification with the
ADE Certification unit.

NAU runs 12 classes each Fall, Spring, and Summer semester. These classes are fully online with a work-at-your-own-pace format.
