Candidate Statement:
Building Pillars of Success: Supporting Students, Empowering Educators,Strengthening Our Community. As a proud resident of the Colorado River Valley, a mother of three teenagers and someone who served as a teacher in this community, I have an acute awareness of the challenges in our education system. Our community is growing and the CRUSHD School Board must be the pillar of success our community relies on-connecting students to opportunities, families to resources, and our community to a stronger future. As a candidate for the Colorado River Union High School District #2 Governing Board, I am committed to ensuring every student has access to a safe, supportive, and high-quality education. Student safety and well being must always come first. Every child deserves an environment where they feel valued, supported, and prepared for success. I also believe in investing in our teachers and staff. By supporting professional development, workplace safety, and educator retention, we can provide the tools and resources necessary for our educators to thrive and help our students achieve their highest potential. Fiscal responsibility is another key priority. Taxpayer dollars should be managed wisely, transparently, and with a focus on student success. I will work to ensure resources are allocated effectively while planning for the long-term success and sustainability of our district. I support equity and opportunity for all students, including access to extracurricular activities, career and technical education, arts programs, athletics, and other opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Together, we can build pillars to a brighter future, strengthen our schools, and ensure Colorado River Union High School District #2 remains a thriving source of education and pride for our community. I would be honored to earn your vote.
