Candidate Statement:

I am seeking a position on the school board because I want to use my 30 years of experience in education to serve our students, families, and community. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable knowledge about the needs of schools, the importance of strong leadership, and the value of working collaboratively. I want to be helpful by listening to those I represent, making thoughtful decisions, and supporting opportunities that help students and staff succeed. I also want to represent my community with integrity, honesty, and respect, ensuring that every voice is heard.

The biggest motivator for running is to continue my public service in education. I have experience, knowledge and a passion for education, so giving back as a board member gives me the opportunity to continue what I love. I am excited to represent my constituents and be their advocate.

My main focus will be working with families and the district to identify priorities in the evolving world of education, to focus on quality instruction, measurements of progress and ways to work with district staff to meet the needs of students and families.
